Dera J. Nevin Director, eDiscovery Services, Proskauer Rose LLP Dera J. Nevin is the Director, eDiscovery Services at Proskauer Rose LLP. She is an eDiscovery lawyer with significant operational experience developing and managing eDiscovery and practice support programs and teams. She practices all aspects of eDiscovery in civil, criminal, regulatory matters and for M&A transactions and internal investigations, and in trans-border contexts. She has advised numerous corporations on the development and implementation of eDiscovery programs and strategies, including litigation hold management and audit. She also has experience in related aspects of information governance, records retention and disposition initiatives, including those arising from document conversion and system migration projects. Ms. Nevin is a founding member of the Legal Technology Professionals Institute, and serves on its Board. She is a past member of the EDRM Advisory Board, Co-Chair of the EDRM Metrics Group. She is a frequent speaker on a variety of topics relating to eDiscovery and Information Governance and writes a regular column on eDiscovery in Canadian Lawyer magazine. Ms. Nevin graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (J.D.), and holds an M.A. and a B.A. (Hons.) from Queen’s University. |

Beth Chiaiese, CRM, MLIS, Director, Professional Responsibility & Compliance, Foley & Lardner LLP Beth Chiaiese is the Director of Professional Responsibility & Compliance for Foley & Lardner LLP, where she has worked since 2001. During her 37-year career, Ms. Chiaiese has worked as both a practitioner and as a consultant, helping firms develop work processes and technology based on best practices in the areas of information governance, records management, conflicts of interest, new business processing and risk management. Ms. Chiaiese is a frequent speaker, addressing national and local groups such as ILTA, ARMA, ALA, ABA and the Attorney’s Liability Assurance Society (ALAS). Ms. Chiaiese is a co-author of Records Management in the Legal Environment, published by ARMA International in 2003, and is the author of three monographs in the ARMA series: Information Governance in the Legal Environment: Ethical and Legal Foundations of Law Firm Records Management and Information Governance (2013), Lawyer and Matter Mobility (2013) and Information Confidentiality, Privacy and Security in the Law Firm (2015). Ms. Chiaiese is a former member of the Board of Directors for ARMA International. She is a Certified Records Manager and holds a master’s degree in library and information sciences. |
